Origins

The history

Causism® and MEMTM were developed by John Mace following decades of study into human behaviour, emotional wellbeing and the nature of the mind.

Over time, these insights evolved into a structured body of knowledge and a repeatable method now used by licensed practitioners worldwide.

Understanding Behaviour

Patterns, identities and survival

A key concept in Causism® is the idea of identities: patterns of thinking, feeling and behaviour that develop throughout life in response to our experiences and environment.

Some of these patterns support us in thriving and navigating life effectively, while others may form during periods of stress, upset or trauma and later appear as emotional reactivity, limiting beliefs or unwanted behaviours that hinder our relationships, success and quality of life.

MEMTM focuses on identifying and resolving the feelings at the root of these limiting patterns so you can experience greater clarity, emotional freedom and autonomy in relationships and daily life.

Session Experience

What to expect in a Foundation Session

  1. A Foundation Session is conducted one-to-one with a registered practitioner remotely via video call. It is non-invasive and requires your active participation.
  2. Your practitioner will introduce the method, answer any questions, then make sure you wish to proceed.
  3. You will be asked to close your eyes and focus your attention as directed, without the need to tell your story or discuss past upsetting events in detail.
  4. The practitioner guides you through a methodical process to identify and address emotional reactivity and limiting patterns.
  5. You remain aware and in control. The practitioner does not do anything to you, they simply support you as you navigate the process.
  6. A follow-up session one week later completes the Foundation Session and ensures nothing has been overlooked.

Unfolding Shifts

After your session

People commonly report feeling light, calm, relieved, grounded and more in control after a Foundation Session. The full effects often continue to unfold over time, revealing themselves subtly and sometimes profoundly.

You may notice shifts in how you think, feel, relate and respond. Clean-up sessions are available if other patterns come to your attention later, but the Foundation Session is a one-off process and does not need to be repeated.

The aim is not only relief from limiting patterns, but greater clarity, emotional freedom and ease in relationships and daily life.

Can MEMTM be self-applied?

MEMâ„¢ is not a self-help model and cannot be effectively applied alone. The process relies on the exterior viewpoint and guidance of a trained practitioner.
